English Oak Memorial Benches ~ A special bench for a special occasion.

All styles are available in two three or four seater versions.

Discrete below ground fixings are available should anyone attempt to remove the bench

NB: *All seating sizes are measured between the arms unlike others who include the arms! Seat height 18¾”

We don’t offer a wide range of benches, because to be perfectly honest we can’t compete with the foreign hardwood benches that are flooding the country, these are generally said to be flimsy and allegedly have a very short life expectancy, whereas our benches are made from 2” and 3” English oak. ~ this ought to be borne in mind if comparing us with other manufacturers. The quality of English oak that we demand for our benches is becoming more and more difficult to source and the volume of timber alone once the waste factor is taken into consideration, accounts for more than half the price of the bench. However, if you have seen another particular design, I’m happy to replicate it!

As an added safety feature we also offer below ground fixings for either a concrete plinth or soft ground at £48 per set. If this is a memorial bench we do offer traditional hand carved lettering from £4:00 per letter extra, or a personalised brass dedication plaque @ £44:00.

We deliver the benches ourselves, having spent a lot of time and effort in making it we don’t like to trust our precious ‘baby’ to anyone else !! I’m sorry to say but our accountant says we have to make a nominal charge per journey of £30 for this service to East Anglia, £75 for the rest of England & Wales (please contact us for delivery to Scotland) towards the cost of petrol and the time taken away from the workshop.

As part of our commitment towards a sustainable environment we have initiated a scheme through Woodland Heritage, whereby an oak tree will be planted for every bench order received.

The fixings are made from heavy duty steel bar that has been hot zinc sprayed for extra durability @ £48 per set + VAT. The short version is suitable for a hard surface ie a concrete plinth and the long version is suitable for soft ground.
